Flexible polyurethane foam chlorinated phosphate ester flame retardant DF-49
Description and Application
Leticia DF-49 is a new and proprietary chlorinated phosphate ester technology developed by the Leticia. It has been primarily developed to replace TDCP-based flame retardant in flexible polyurethane foam formulations.
Next to its inherent flame retardant properties, Leticia DF-49 is non-fugitive: it will remain in the polyurethane long after production, yielding a durable fire protection to the end-user.
The Leticia DF-49 process has been devised to remove nearly all low molecular weight moieties issued from manufacturing. This confers to Leticia DF-49 superior emission performance (VOC’s, fogging) that makes it particularly suited for application where specific emission tests have to be satisfied.
Leticia DF-49 can be used as such for UL 94, Cal TB 117 parts A and D, FMVSS 302. It can also be associated with a synergist (i.e. melamine) for the production of foams that meet the requirements of BS 5852 Crib 5.
