Halogen containing reactive flame retardant for rigid polyurethane foams. MB-512
Description and Application
Leticia MB-512 is a halogen containing reactive flame retardant particularly suited for the production of rigid polyurethane foams.
Leticia MB-512 presents the particularity of containing both chlorine and bromine as active flame retardant elements. This duality provides Leticia MB-512 with superior fire resistance properties that cover a wide range of decomposition temperatures.
Another benefit of Leticia MB-512 lies in its compatibility with the major blowing agents used within foamer circles, i.e. HCFC 141b, HFC 245 and 365, as well as pentane. Leticia MB-512 does not affect the thermal properties of the foam and can be used with both polyether and polyester polyols. This makes Leticia MB-512 suitable for the production of polyurethane (PUR), polyisocyanurate (PIR) and low index polyisocyanurate (PUIR) foams.
Leticia MB-512 allows the production of PUR, PIR and PUIR materials (laminates, block…) that satisfy very demanding fire safety standards like the European class B (Iso 11925).
